Many of you have kindly already bought some of Ruthie’s books, but as a fund-raiser for Alzheimer’s Research UK she is still selling them to make some money for this charity. IF you would like to buy any (£7 each) please contact Ruthie on 01691 624704. They are:
“The Shipwreck of Hildebrand III”. The story of a liner that ran aground when the Lockyers were on their way to Antigua where her father was taking up a missionary post.
“My Island in the Sun: A child’s life in Antigua 1957-1960”. A description of life in this island before it became a tourist spot, seen through the eyes of both Ruthie (as a schoolgirl) and her parents. Many references to interesting items related to Methodism.
“Flying in the Face of Danger: A student pilot’s journey”. A description of Ruthie’s training in Florida to become a private pilot – a crash course!!
“Sat-Nav Sally and other stories”. A book of fictional short stories of all genres.
“Sali Llyw-Lloeren ȃ storiau eraill”. As above but translated into Welsh. This one has just been published and is £10.
