The Church Family
Many of you know that Ruthie’s family were shipwrecked while her father was being sent to Antigua as a missionary. A Bible was among a few things salvaged which had previously been in a shipwreck owned by a Rev. Cubitt (an ancestor of hers) while he was going to the mission field. Ruthie has sent the Bible to the Methodist Museum in London where the curator was delighted to include it there. If anyone is going to London, the museum is situated in City Road, next to Wesley’s house, both might be of interest. Tel: 020 7253 2262 or website: https://wesleysheritage.org.uk for information.
Please contact Ruthie for any special birthdays, anniversaries or other events affecting anyone in our Mere’s Edge Church family for inclusion in the notices.
Facebook. You can follow us on Facebook “Ellesmere Methodist Church“, “Shropshire and Marches” and for the mobile outreach trailer “Memo Shropshire”.
Please inform others of the content of these notices if they are not able to attend church.
If you have information that you would like included in the notices, please email Ruthie (alukundo@gmail.com), who will happily oblige.
