Saturday, 14th March 10:00 – noon Welshampton Coffee Morning raising funds for the village hall, which, among other activities, provides premises for their monthly charity coffee mornings.

Friday, 6th March 7:00 pm World Day of Prayer at the Catholic Church by the Mere. Frances Butler from the Catholic Church is coordinating the service, which this time comes from Nigeria. She is asking if someone from the Mere’s Edge Churches would be willing to become involved in helping plan the service. Please could you email her (francesbutler54@icloud.com) if you can oblige and cc Rev. Julia.

Other Notices

Welshampton coffee morning yesterday raised an amazing £550 for Alzheimer’s Research UK. The Methodists and supporters of Welshampton thank those who attended and contributed, and the members of the Shropshire Fund-raising group are extremely grateful to the Welshampton volunteers who give their time to put on these coffee mornings and take nothing for expenses.

With apologies for the delay but we wish Trish Pritchard a happy year ahead following her 93rd birthday last week.

On 1st February, Heather and David Shepherd’s daughter gave birth to Violet, their second grandchild. Congratulations to all the family.

Welshampton resident and former nurse, Mrs. Sally Baggaley, 104, passed away in hospital having had a fall after Christmas. The funeral will take place at Wrexham Crematorium on 17th February at 11:15 am. We send our condolences to her family.
