Sunday 5th October Chapel Lane are holding their Harvest Thanksgiving services: 11:00 am led by Rev. John Chesworth and 6:00 pm led by Deacon Carys Woodley. On Monday 6th at 7:30 pm there will be a sale of harvest gifts.
Saturday 11th October 10:00 – noon Coffee morning at Welshampton Parish Hall in support of Lyneal-cum-Colemere WI who are raising funds for a new defibrillator at Colemere.
Saturday 18th October at 2:00 pm Forest Church with Deacon Carys Woodley Meeting at Chirk near the station, the theme being “Travel”.
Other Notices
Difficult Questions This group meet once a month, usually at Ruthie’s. We have been discussing Rev. Neil Richardson’s book “Who on Earth is God?” which we will finish in October. Beginning in November, we will start by watching the 2019 film “Sorry We Missed You”, written by Pail Laverty and directed by Ken Loach. Further sessions will be discussing points brought up by the film. Everyone is welcome, it is a small and informal group with good coffee! Try us!
Forest Church This is held on the 3rd Saturday of the month led by Deacon Carys Woodley. Future dates are:
November 15th at Lee Bridges Methodist church. Theme: “Surrounded by fields”.
20th December at Birch Meadow Welsh End Methodist. Theme: “Fire & Dark”
Online Church. Our Superintendent minister, Richard Hall has developed a new resource for worship. The web address is https://onlinechapel.uk. This provides a simple online service each week (hymns, prayers, readings, reflection) which can be used for Sunday worship, pastoral visitors, house groups etc. Further information from Rev Hall (email: superintendent2803@gmail.com)
